An Afternoon Tea at the Williams & Thomas Tearoom is a unique, mouth watering experience of this delightful culinary meal...
Our Afternoon Teas are served on fine china with traditional silverware and our tables are laid with fresh linen, flowers and herbs. Your Afternoon Tea is served on delicate tiers laden with a selection of both sweet and savoury treats that change daily making your experience with us special
You will be treated to a selection of pastries, cakes, savouries, desserts and scones with jams, cream and chutneys. We have carefully chosen a selection of loose leaf teas, cafetiere coffee or fruit juice to accompany your Afternoon Tea. We source our ingredients locally and work with the seasons
We can tailor our menus to those with particular dietary requirements. Please advise us when making your reservation. Our Afternoon Teas are £28 per guest
WE ARE SORRY BUT WE NO LONGER TAKE GROUP BOOKINGS of more than 6 guests
We are not taking reservations for Traditional Afternoon Tea until later in 2023
Terms & Conditions
Our staff take great pride in providing our customers with the best service they can to ensure every guest enjoys their time with us. To help us achieve this we have a few guidelines we expect our staff and customers to follow.
* Bookings... The booking fee per guest is non refundable. We ask for 48 hours notice for cancellations. For any cancellations made less than 48 hours before the reservation date, payment must be made in full. You will be served the Afternoon Tea to either eat whilst in our Tearoom or we can put it in a box for you to take home. Your booking is for up to 2 hours in our Tearoom, we are happy to extend this at a cost of £50 for up to 1 hour extra and £100 for up to 2 hours extra. Please let us know this at the time of booking as the tables will be allocated to another booking on the day.
*WE NO LONGER ACCEPT GROUP BOOKINGS. Group bookings... Extra guests may be accommodated with no less than 48 hours notice. The seating arrangements and table layout are made by us and we take into account your comfort and the necessary space for your guests to be served by our waiting staff. Tables and chairs may not be rearranged by guests, if you have any concerns please talk to one of our team who will do their best to accommodate you. For group bookings of more than 6 guests we ask that everyone is seated before service begins. This ensures the correct food and drink are served to the right guest. We of course understand if guests want to change seats after this.
* Special Occasions... We do not host baby showers. No food or drink can be brought into our Tearoom and no decorations, banners or balloons. We offer a bespoke service for decorating the Tearoom and providing a cake if you are celebrating a special occasion, please ask when you make your booking. Gentle games can be played but only with prior arrangement. We expect all guests to be thoughtful of others enjoying our Tearoom.

Our Afternoon Tea Gift Cards make the perfect gift for friends and family. When you purchase our gift cards, we send them to your own address for you to complete. Each Gift Card comes with an envelope!
Our Traditional Afternoon Teas offer a unique experience....you will be treated to a selection of pastries, cakes, savouries, desserts and scones with a choice of loose leaf tea, cafetiere coffee or fruit juice all served on fine china with fresh linen. Our selection changes daily so that no visit to our tearoom is the same!
Our Afternoon Teas are available to book daily between 1pm - 3:30pm for £19.50 per guest
We also sell gifts cards for Cream or Savoury Teas...our scones are served fresh from the oven served with handmade preserves, chutneys and Kentish cheese. Relax and enjoy a Cream or Savoury Tea in our Tearoom. Our gift cards are a lovely present for friends and family!
